Who We Are

The Committee for Gippsland is an apolitical, not-for-profit organisation which provides peak body representation for industry and communities right across Gippsland. We work in close partnership with members from all industry sectors to champion Gippsland’s priorities and help secure a sustainable, prosperous future for our communities.

By actively engaging with industry, government and community representatives, we aim to deliver lasting social and economic benefits for Gippsland.

Our membership spans both established and emerging sectors, including energy, manufacturing, education, healthcare, agriculture, construction, engineering, finance, community services, and professional services. It includes a diverse range of organisations, from sole traders and small to medium-sized businesses, to large ASX-listed companies.

Through advocacy, engagement, information sharing, roundtables with state and federal government representatives, region-wide networking, and targeted projects and programs, we help drive regional growth, foster collaboration, and strengthen industry connections.

As part of our commitment to regional leadership, we deliver the Gippsland Community Leadership Program (GCLP), one of Australia’s longest-running regional leadership initiatives designed to build leadership capabilities.

We also lead the Gippsland Offshore Wind Alliance (GOWA) in partnership with the Gippsland Climate Change Network. GOWA is an industry alliance focused on securing investment, developing a skilled workforce, and building the infrastructure critical to Gippsland’s offshore wind sector.
